Smart LED Lights Solutions Simply Connected at CES 201510-01-2015
In the past, LED lamp has taken its position as very important part of the smart home. With Philips hue, OSRAM Lightify and GE Link, consumers experience increasing freedom of choice.
The Connected Lighting Alliance (TCLA), a leading industry group comprising the major LED lights companies, recognizes the smart lighting market is taking off. At CES 2015, the alliance will have a global leadership in showing wireless connected residential lighting products from six major lighting companies (GE Lighting, Leedarson, LG Electronics, Lutron, OSRAM, and Philips). All these products comply with a common open standard, ZigBee Light Link as endorsed by TCLA, which allows consumers to use a mix of products and brands at home and control them using a single wireless network.
"We are excited to see the smart lighting market entering the next phase of evolution. The products shown at CES show the market is turning to a common wireless communication protocol, which will help consumer confidence," said Simon den Uijl, the Secretary General of The Connected Lighting Alliance.
Recently, the ZigBee Alliance announced the next step in ZigBee development, ZigBee 3.0. This will further better the interoperability of smart LED lights devices with other devices in the home. TCLA will continue to work with the ZigBee Alliance to further improve and promote the interoperability of LED lighting solutions.
