LED Light Industry in Southern China Suffered great losses in China in the first quarter of the year 2015

The Guangdong Province in Southern China suffered the greatest losses in China lights industry, according to monthly statistics compiled by the National Bureau of Statistics in China.

Top four regional lighting markets in China that incurred the greatest losses, Guangdong Province, Zhejiang Province, Jiangsu Province, and Shanghai. 

During the first four months of 2015, LED lights in China industry accounted for a total loss of RMB 956 million, an increase of 19.14% compared to last year. Regions in China that incurred the greatest losses were Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai and Fujian areas.

Lights factory losses broken down into product sectors: Lights fixtures (66%), power drivers (23%), and other auxilliary lighting components (11%).

The LED light industry has been the hardest hit, with loses climbing up 11.84% YOY to RMB 615 million and making up about 66.42% of total lighting industry financial loss. Standing in second was drivers, which saw annual losses increase 31.44% to RMB 214 million and comprising about 23.07% of total losses. Other lights fixtures and auxiliary lights components also saw steep 50.19% YOY increase in losses that reached RMB 97 million (or amounting to 10.51% of total losses).
