27-09-2018
Toshiba has announced that it will stop its Numazu production facility in Shizuoka Ken which produces LED lighting equipment and lighting control on or before March 2019.

Toshiba Lighting will transfer the current 235 workers at the Numazu factory to the Kanuma factory in Tochigi Ken to focus on its production and improve production efficiency.

Toshiba Lighting has been playing a very great role in the LED lighting market in Japan. As the Japanese government has completely prohibited halogen bulbs in 2012, the penetration rate of LED lighting in Japan has reached 77 percent at the end of 2017, which is the highest position around the world.
