Seoul Semicoductor reported an increasing market requirement for its UVC technology Violeds

Seoul Viosys that is branch company of Seoul Semiconductor announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2020. It achieved a consolidated revenue of KRW 87 billion (US$ 71.17 million), which increased by 10% YoY.

Earlier this year, Seoul Viosys has received many inquiries for its UVC technology “Violeds” for disinfection applications during the covid-19 epidemic.

More and more end users realize the importance of Healthy Technologies for clean life.Although the market sales of other visible LEDs droped, Seoul Viosys still announced a double-digit total growth in the first quarter of the year 2020.The EBITDA margin of Seoul Viosys was 19.2%, its other expenses were also greatly reduced by 32% and 15% separately.

Seoul Viosys believes the increasing market requirements from Europe and U.S.A for Violeds will keep increasing the sales growth even after the second quarter of the year 2020,  "Violeds" technoligy has been proven to sterilize 99.9% of COVID-19 within 30 seconds in natural environment.
