ROHM semiconductor are developing more high optical output laser diodes for LiDAR applications
16-10-2021
Japanese ROHM semiconductor have successfully developed a 75w optical laser diode for automated guided vehicles and service robots in industrial equipment sector and robot vacuums that adopts LiDAR for distance measuring and space recognition.
By this 75w infrared high optical output laser diode, ROHM can achieve precise emission width of 225μm at equivalent optical output. Uniform emission intensity and low temperature dependence of laser wavelength can result in higher accuracy and longer distances in different LiDAR applications.
Right now, ROHM is developing 120w laser diodes for automotive sector. More and more newest laser diodes with higher power consumption will be developed for other LiDAR-equipped applications.
