can different color temperature of led chip affect the luminous flux of led work lamp
17-08-2024
According to our luminous flux test by optical sphere, we can find the distinct lighting difference between the color temperature of 6000K and 7500K. So some people might think that the color temperature will affect the luminous flux.
However, when making the luminous flux test by Everfine goniophotometers system, we can come to realize that the color temperature doesn’t affect the total lumen of led work lamp directly. Theres no direct relationship between color temperature and luminous flux. An LED chip emitting warm white light (lower K) can have the same luminous flux as one emitting cool white light (higher K).

White LEDs are basically created by coating a blue LED chip with other color phosphor. The efficiency of this phosphor conversion process can be different based on the target color temperature, resulting in differnt luminous flux.
For the above reason, the focus to choose brighter led led work lamp must be to choose an LED chip with high luminous efficacy (lumens per watt) rather than solely relying on color temperature to maximize the lighting output.

Of coure, if the color temperature in other color specture changes, the lumen data will change in some way. Other factors such as absorption coefficient,LED chip efficiency,Phosphor conversion, thermal management can determine the final luminous flux of led workl lamp finally.
Different color temperatures might correspond to LED chips with varying efficiencies. A more efficient chip will produce more lumens at the same actual power consumption, resulting in affecting the total luminous flux of the work lamp.
