HELLA to Exhibit LED work lights for Forestry Machinery at Interforst in Munich

27-06-2014

HELLA will be demonstrating innovative LED lights solutions using LED technology at the Interforst, the leading International Trade Fair for Forestry and Forestry Technology in Munich July 16 to July 20, 2014. As the partner of the German Center for Forest Work and Technology, known in German as the Kuratorium für Waldarbeit und Forsttechnik e.V. (KWF), HELLA will be exhibiting its products in the Centers special display at the trade fair (Hall B6 / Stand 215). The focus here will most definitely be on the selection of LED work lights designed for use on forestry machinery.

One of the highlights literally is the compact and high-powered LED work light called Power Beam 3000. This LED worklight, which boasts 16 high-performance, light-emitting diodes, generates a light output of 3,000 lumens. Its power consumption, however, only amounts to 43 watts, which means it is comparable with traditional Xenon (HID) technology. But, as opposed to the latter, the light of light-emitting diodes has a color temperature of 5,700 kelvins. As a result it is closely similar to natural daylight and, as such, is much more custom-made to meet the requirements of the human eye, a situation which aids in the prevention of fatigue and of lapses in concentration during all manner of woodland work. Thanks to its durable die-cast aluminum housing with a dust-free steel bracket and a lens made out of scractch-proof PC, this LED work light is especially resistant to all kinds of mechanical impact. An integrated thermal sensor is present to prevent any overheating of the light-emitting diodes, thus allowing them to enjoy an exceptionally long service life of up to 60,000 hours.

When it comes to battery-operated vehicles or to those with an already heavily-burdened generator, the LED work light that goes under the name of Module 70 LED is the one to note because of its low power consumption. Four high-powered LEDs generate a light output of 800 lumens yet they only have a power consumption of 13 watts. And the LED work light is particularly resistant to stroke, vibration and wide voltage variations. Once mounted, this work light then needs no maintenance whatsoever. It is also available with a magnetic base and a long spiral cable for the cigarette lighter.

With the Ultra Beam LED HELLA has now completed the successful Ultra Beam product family by adding to it an LED member. This innovative LED work light generates a light output of 2,200 lumens and its compact design allows it to be used everywhere.
