Osram still leads the innovation of automotive LED lights and other vehicle-related technologies
13-07-2019
The leading LED chips provider Osram has continued its further development in automotive LED lighting and other innovative vehicle technologies.

For Autonomous vehicles, it is very important that self-driving cars are able to detect and understand the movement and direction of both pedestrians and other cares. To meet the requirements of autonomous driving vehicles, hybrid LED from Osram for smart LED headlights has individually-controlled pixels that can be turned on and off to show images to communicate with pedestrians.
Osram thinks that next generation vehicles will have to process various tasks simultaneously. To increase system efficiency and develop new technologies and innovative thinking further requires extensive knowledge in the field of LED.
Osram has provided a wide range of product lines to provide solutions for automotive interiors and exteriors, and even lasers that make autonomous driving possible.

Osrams pulsed laser diodes are used in most of current LiDAR systems. It will continue to increase its single and multi-channel SMT lasers to support new developments in self-driving vehicles. Besides, we see some of our products that are used in the mobile devices being considered for automobiles. Biometric technologies, whether it is iris scan or facial recognition, are being paid attention to by automotive makers for car access and driver recognition.”
