Canadian Magna acquired Czech supplier of car lighting for strategic growth

Canada-based vehicle component provider Magna announced the buying of Wipac Czech who is a car lighting supplier located in Czech Republic.
Wipac Czech technical team designs and develops car forward lighting, mainly for European luxury brands such as Aston Martin, Bentley, Rolls Royce, McLaren, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Audi, Daimler, BMW and Porsche.

Automotive Lighting represents a strategic growth area for Magna, the increasing levels of electronic and sensor integration and the ongoing industry trend differentiate vehicles through styling.
Magna acquired Italian automotive lighting producer OLSA in 2018. In doing so, the Canadian company has totally 11 lighting manufacturing facilities and three engineering centers globally.
The company also plans develop innovative automotive led lighting technologies. It has set up joined venture with Micro LED technology provider Rohinni for making flexible micro LED lighting solutions.
