Osram announces its slight growing reveune at the start of the year 2020

After a long time negotiation, the Germany company Osram was sold fianlly to Austrian sensor maker AMS with EUR 4.6 billion (US$ 5 billion) in December 2019. The two companies are still under the process of merger which is expected to finish in the summer of 2020.

In the year 2019, Business segment Opto Semiconductors performed well with revenue amounted EUR 359 million (US$ 395 million). In the segment Digital, revenues climbed by 2.2% to EUR 217 million (US$ 238.78 million) within a one-year period. Adjusted EBITDA reached the lowest point following a loss of minus 10 million euros. As for the segment Automotive, revenue increased comparatively by 0.7% to EUR 480 million (US$ 528.18 million). 

It was very important for Osram management to take timely and consistent countermeasures, which are clearly reflected in the figures of the individual business segments. At the start of the year 2020, Osram announces that it has seen slightly growing revenue and profit for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2020.
