Japanese NICHIA H6 series LED achieve better color rendering and efficacy than traditional CRI 90 LEDs

20-03-2021
Japanese NICHIA is a world-famous LED supplier and inventor of the high-brightness blue and white LEDs.NICHIA shows its latest H6 series recently. Based on NICHIA’s 3030 mid-power 757 package to start, the newest family of LEDs can achieve the highest multi-level boost in color rendition and efficacy whilst maintaining the longer lifetime. Currently, the H6 series has achieved a color rendering index (CRI) of 90 while maintaining a level of efficacy seen in standard CRI 80 LEDs.

Basically, LED lights producer need to lower lumen efficacy if super color quality is required in LEDs. NICHIA’s latest H6 LED family provides excellent lighting performance for those special-purpose environments, especially in shops, restaurants, hotels, and galleries/museum, and restroom settings where color rendering and energy savings are considered more. The solutions are particularly useful for general Illumination fixtures (such as troffers, tracks, downlights, spots, and desk lights among others) to improve the vividness of colorful merchandise, artworks and furniture in order to attact the eyesights of visitors.

NICHIA’s new H6 series features in a unique red narrow band phosphor technology besides other semiconductor processes and packaging techniques so as to  achieve a color quality better than traditional CRI 90 LEDs while keeping an efficacy better than many CRI 80 LEDs. It is proven that the 0.2W H6 series achieves a typical luminous efficacy of 200 lm/W, a 20% increase in efficacy than many CRI 90 LEDs.
