Chinese Inventronics announced to acquire Europe and Asia Digital Systems business from AMS Osram

Chinese Inventronics who is a global leader in reliable and innovative LED driver ics announced the agreement to buy the Digital Systems business in Europe and Asia from ams Osram, a global leader in optical solutions. The buy in transaction will help Inventronics achieve its core strategy of providing the latest technology and value-add features to its global customer base and of leading the transformation to cost-effective, intelligent, connected lighting. 

The ams OSRAM Europe and Asia Digital Systems business develops mainly power supplies with related light modules, software, and connectable components for traditional and LED lamps. These are essential components for LED lighting fixtures in professional lighting applications that enable smart lighting solutions and digitalization. 

Headquartered in Garching near Munich, Germany and operating in more than 35 countries world,the ams Osram Digital Systems business in Europe and Asia employs around 600 people. One year ago, ams OSRAM announced the sale of its North American Digital Systems business to Acuity Brands.Ams OSRAM is selling off its "non-strategic businesses" step by step in order to focus more on its core sensor business.
