How can do to reduce the condensation inside high power led work lamps by check valve
06-12-2025

In order to improve the waterproofness and reduce condensation on some of
our high power led work lights, we install breathers in the form of check valve
at the back of aluminum housings.
To eliminate the condensation, you need to dry the interior and add a desiccant to handle residual humidity.
Temporarily remove the installed check valve or the len cover if necessary. Place the len of the light face down on a warm, dry surface indoors or in the sun for several hours. This allows rising heat to push moisture out of the open valve port on the back. You also can use a hair dryer to gently blow warm air into the aluminum housing for quicker drying. Remember not to overheat the led chips or other components inside.
If the lens are already crystal clear, reinstall the check valve immediately when the air inside is still warm. The check valve will regulate the pressure after the lamp cools.
Place 1 or 2 small silica gel packets in the bottom or “dead space”inside the aluminum housings.Ensure they are secured, so they do not bounce around or touch the components on the pcbas. The check valve handles pressure changes while the silica gel actively grabs the moisture that is already trapped in the air.
If condensation returns rapidly after drying, the valve might be working, but a main seal is failing. With the light removed, you can lightly blow it into the vent hole and spray soapy water around the lens seal. Bubbles indicate a leak.
If you find a leak, apply a bead of neutral-cure silicone around the lens edge. Avoid acidic silicone as the fumes can damage LED chips finally.
